Colleen Wietmarschen, President
From introverted child to successful entrepreneur for 26+ years, Colleen found her greatest accomplishments began in her fifties, including becoming a professional speaker and publishing consultant, to completing a triathlon at age 50 (and 60), four half marathons so far, starting violin lessons at 54, and completing a 300-mile bike challenge in 30 days.
Like most people, she’s had her fair share of challenges, but people experience challenges on a daily basis; it’s how we handle them and how we prepare for them that matters. Through hard work and connecting with her conscious self, Colleen has discovered it’s never too late to live our purpose.
Colleen’s mission is to allow herself to experience love, laughter, and happiness in her life, to keep her health a top priority and to share her love and wisdom to those open to receiving.
Colleen and Peter work with entrepreneurs and professionals in their “second act” who are ready to tell and share their story. People hear how everyone has a story to tell and it’s true, but many entrepreneurs and professionals believe people have already heard the same story. Here’s what Colleen shares with people: one person’s story resonates with someone the way another person’s story doesn’t. People can talk or write on the same topic, but each person tells/writes their story in an entirely different way so everyone’s story, when told through their words and their voice, is important.
As a speaker, Colleen conveys her vast wisdom of business experience; from running a quarter million plus business to restarting after 18 years, she’s seen it all. Her energy engages and inspires the audience with stories interspersed with her value-packed knowledge.
As a leader, Colleen has a compelling background consulting clients and mentoring students.

Colleen served as the Executive Director for the Cincinnati Chapter of the Public Speakers Association in 2015. She started the local chapter of the Ohio Valley Business Services Network in 1999, and she served as Co-Editor of IVAACast, a monthly industry e-zine for Virtual Assistants from 2010-2014. In 2016, Colleen provided copywriting for all email marketing campaigns for the International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA).
For fun, Colleen likes to participate in competitive walking events, hiking, biking, and swimming. She’s always looking to take part in a half marathon or walking event to stay active. She started private violin lessons a few years ago. Her favorite quote is “Music Makes Us Human.” Author Unknown.
She has been an active participant in Relay for Life, and she chaired the event from 2007-2010 and regularly has chaired several other Relay committees since 1998. Colleen also volunteers for the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati.

In 2011, Colleen was the recipient of the Best of Cincinnati Writer’s Award presented by U.S. Commerce Association. It was an honor to receive this accolade.
Past Co-Editor for IVAACast, the Industry Newsletter for International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA). Before its disbandment, Colleen was a Member of Gateway Writers Club and attended meetings with other authors working to perfect her writing and proofreading skills and critiquing other members’ compositions.
Peter Wietmarschen, Vice President of Operations
Peter, our Vice-President of Operations, started working with Colleen in 2015, after graduating from Morehead State University in December 2014. Initially working with the day-to-day operations, he has transitioned to more of a planning role for both Your Literary Prose and clients. He has found a passion in strategizing new service offerings and improving current services. Peter takes a lead in working with coaches, speakers, and entrepreneurs to plan their own writing projects so they can be successful, whatever that means for them.
When not in the office, Peter is an avid soccer fan, supporting the local FC Cincinnati and US National teams and watching the English Premier League on the weekend. He also enjoys reading, both for pleasure and to learn more about business.
