Mission Statement
To support and educate professionals and entrepreneurial writers through the publishing process as they reach their goal to have a professionally self- or traditionally published book.
Vision Statement:
To provide the most relevant and up-to-date resources and support for professionals and entrepreneurial writers to share their story with those who matter most.
Colleen and Peter are your Publishing GPS – your road map to successful writing/publication. We provide the most relevant and up-to-date resources and support for business owners, professionals, speakers, and coaches ready to tell and share their story with a book. Colleen and Peter guide you to reach your destination of a professionally published book as well as a raving audience waiting in line (or online!) to purchase. Writing your book is a process; it’s more than just words. Your book’s journey begins at the planning stages and continues through penning, publishing, and promoting.
You are the expert at what you do and everyone has a story. Professionally publishing a book is one of the fastest ways to take your business to the next level.
From introverted child to successful businesswoman to triathlete at age 50, violin student at age 54, and completing a 300-mile bike challenge in 30 days, Colleen faces any challenge with an open mind.
As a speaker, Colleen conveys her vast wisdom of business experience; from running a quarter million plus business to restarting after 18 years, she’s seen it all. Her energy fills the room as she engages and inspires the audience with stories interspersed with her value-packed knowledge.
Peter graduated from college in 2015 and the medical transcription business was “a changing.” What a better time to re-brand since Peter was interested in the business (and all his other job offers were commission based). Colleen said, “come aboard if you’d like; if all you’re being offered is commission-based pay why not give this a try,” and that’s the story of how Your Literary Prose came about.
Peter takes care of the business operations, our social media, and he is a great planner and has a knack for the day-to-day details and organization. He’s a great writer and and comprehensive editor. Besides writing some of our blogs, he recently started writing blogs for one of the supporters’ groups for FC Cincinnati soccer team, The Pride. How exciting is that? Read some of his humorous writing on their blog. If you’re a FC Cincinnati soccer fan and watch any of the games take a look in The Bailey cheering section. You’ll probably see Peter in the front row banging on the drums, waving scarves, and supporting the team no matter what.

Colleen was the best author’s assistant I could ever have had. She and her son Peter helped me get my first book published and a gave me a great start on marketing it. They were professional, friendly, honest and organized. They gave me advice, shared feedback from friends who had read my book, and let me make decisions. I feel confident they helped get all the important matters for my book set up properly, including a Library of Congress Control Number. I would recommend Your Literary Prose to anyone wanting to publish a book.

Ready to write your book? Feeling a little or a lot overwhelmed by the process? Never fear, Colleen and Peter are here! Just this week I have recommended the services of Your Literary Prose to two clients. They will take an author from the germ of an idea, to published author, without the big mistakes so many authors make! This is exactly what they did for one of my current coaching clients. I wish they had been around for me when my book publishing saga began but they are on the scene now! Honest, skilled, and detail-oriented experts, like this team, can save your sanity.
